Close-up with Gavin Faith
At the very young age of 6, parents Tracy and Donna Faith purchased Gavin a 50cc motorcycle as a Christmas present, and since then, motocross has been the life for young Gavin Faith. By the time Gavin was eight, the Faith Family traveled to a motocross event every weekend. Gavin won his very first Midwest Junior Championship on his 50cc bike that year and also won many single events at many different venues. At the age of ten, he won the Iowa/South Dakota Series along with again conquering the Midwest Junior Championship on a 65cc Motorcycle. Gavin even finished second at an Arena Cross event held in Des Moines, Iowa that year. The following year, Gavin started racing outdoor shows and finished at the top spot all but two races. Arena Cross was growing and Gavin entered events across 5 different states and qualified himself to the U.S. Open held in Las Vegas, NV. Gavin pulled off a podium finish at the Open against the best in the country, which set the tone for what was to come. At the age of 12, Faith Racing began racing some national events and unfortunately broke his leg at one event at Lake Whitney, Texas. The next spring, Gavin was fully recovered from the leg injury and began racing in Millville near Rochester, MN, every weekend and shortly fell in love with the track. Millville allowed Gavin to learn to race on rough tracks and to adapt fast to quick changes throughout the races. Gavin has raced at many different racetracks throughout the country including places like, Las Vegas, Branson, Ponca, OK, and even the Loretta Lynn’s Nationals in Tennessee. Gavin’s last race at the Loretta Lynn’s Nationals he finished 3rd in 250 Pro Sport and 3rd in 450 A. He now trains at MTF in Georgia.
